THE VALLEY OF LAKES
Trentino and sports to practice in winter and summer
The Trentino region and the Valley of the Lakes propose various cycling routes, on road or on dirt. The paved bike routes, away from traffic, connect most locations. We particularly recommend the route that goes directly to the area of Arco and Riva del Garda.
There are also plenty of opportunities for hiking and walking. From a tour of the Lamar or Toblino Lakes, to hiking trails that combine history and nature on the mountain Sorasass, to the more challenging routes that take you to the peaks of Monti Gaza and Paganella.
If you like climbing there is something for all tastes, from the cliffs in the Terlago and Sarche areas, to the trails climbing the imposing south face of the Paganella. In summer, a swim in characteristic lakes of Lamar and Terlago are a nice way to pass the time. Discover Lake Terlago Line, the brand new wakeboard centre, less than ten minutes from Trento providing wakeboarding practice on a natural lake.
And for those unwilling to miss the chance to spend an active holiday, you can enjoy Lake Garda, the largest of the Italian lakes that is only 30 minutes from B&B La Dolce Mela. On Lake Garda, you can practice different sports such as sailing, windsurfing, canyoning and the latest trend: kite surfing.
The city of Trento, only 12 km from the Valley of the Lakes, is rich in history with its Duomo and the Castello del Buonconsiglio. For art with its MART, science in its MUSE and entertainment opportunities.
